Welcome to Koh Samui. The tropical island is one of the most popular destinations in Thailand and has a lot to offer. Koh Samui is Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket. With sandy beaches and tropical lush trees atop scenic mountains, your trip will surely be a memorable experience!
Taling Ngam is a small fishing village on the south west of Koh Samui. It is away from the main tourist areas and very quiet.
If you prefer for an excursion more hustle and bustle you should go to Chaweng Beach. In Lamai Beach you’ll find a more relaxed atmosphere but lots of nice shops, restaurants and markets. Bophut’s Fisherman’s Village in the north is also worth to visit.
Koh Samui has generally 3 different seasons, hot season, dry season and rainy season. December to February is usually the dry season. It occurs some refreshing wind or breeze and you should enjoy a lot of sunshine at this time of the year. March to August it is dry, sunny and hot. In May it might start to rain, but these showers are mostly not lasting very long. The rainy season goes from September until November. In September there are still many sunny days. Rainy season or monsoon season does not mean, that it will be raining at all times, but rainfalls and thundershowers are very common.
The place & Bungalows
Imagine waking up to the sound of the birds and waves; the gentle breeze blowing from the sea while you sit on a yoga platform facing the 5 islands in front of you. That’s how you start the day before closing your eyes for your meditation followed by your yoga practice…..
Mika & Rayk tried to find the right place for futurehippie all over Asia. By accident Mika stumbled over an announcement and Mika & Rayk are grateful for the opportunity to take over this amazing spot. Futurehippie found his home in Koh Samui.
Futurehippie is located directly at the beach in a really quiet surrounding. You can enjoy the magical energy from huge Banyan trees, chill in our bamboo huts, work in our community area, spoil yourself with a massage, swim, practice Yoga and Meditation and enjoy delicious vegan food in the little Café.
